Apple Cider Rose Poached Strawberries
These poached strawberries are soaked in some apple cider rose syrup and can be served with yogurt, ice cream or made into a cocktail.

- 2 Punets Strawberries
- 2 Cups Rose
- 2 Tablespoons Cassava Syrup or Maple Syrup
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Paste or ½ Vanilla Pod
Prep strawberries by removing the tops and cutting them in half if they are on the larger side. Place in a large glass or ceramic bowl. Set aside.
Place the rose, syrup and vanilla in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes until it reduces into a syrupy consistency.
Turn off the stove and pour over the syrup over the strawberries. Let stand at room temperature until it has fully cooled then cover and leave in the refrigerator until it has chilled through. About an hour.
Serve on yogurt, ice cream or turn into a frozen cocktail!
