Servings: 1 Smoothie

Ingredients

Langka Jam

  • 1 Cup Ripe Langka
  • ½ Cup Water
  • 1 Tablespoon Date Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds

Ube Smoothie

  • 1 Cup Ube Powder from Filiflavors
  • 1 Scoop Collagen Powder
  • 1 Cup Coconut Milk (or other preferred milk)
  • Half a Frozen Banana
  • ¼ Cup Frozen young coconut meat
  • ¼ Cup Coconut Water
  • ¼ Cup Ice (add more if you want it cooler)

Garnish

  • ¼ Cup Frozen Cocowhip Defrosted

Instructions

Make the Langka Jam

  • Place 1 cup ripe langka in a blender with ½ cup water and 1 tablespoon date syrup. Bend until smooth.
  • Then pour it into a small sauce pan and add 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. Boil at medium to low heat until the water has evaporated and the mixture becomes nice and thick, about 10 minutes.
  • Leave to cool to room temperature and then transfer to a small bowl and place in the fridge until you are ready to use it.

Make the Ube Smoothie

  • Put all the Ube smoothie ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. If it’s too thick for you add a bit more coconut water a tablespoon at a time.

Layer the smoothie

  • Start with about 2-3 tablespoons of langka jam and place it in the bottom of your glass. Then drizzle the melted cocowhip on the inside of the glass. Lastly pour in the ube smoothie.
