Course: Lunch, Merienda, Sandwhich
Cuisine: American, Filipino
Servings: 2 Sandwiches
- ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
- ¼ Cup Calamansi Juice
- ½ Pound Thinly Sliced Steak/Beef
- ½ White Onion Diced
- 4 Slices Provolone or Havarti Cheese
- 2 Hoggie Buns
Combine ¼ cup soy sauce and ¼ cup calamansi juice in a small bow. Add the half a pound of thinly sliced beef. Marinate for about 10 minutes.
Heat up a cast iron pan on high heat and drizzle with about a tablespoon or two of oil. Once the pan is hot add in the beef and the marinade.
It will cook in 2 minutes, as the beef is so thin. Add the diced onions and stir in.
Cook for about 30 seconds so that the onions still have some crunch. Turn off the heat and add two slices of cheese on top of the Bistek Cheesesteak.
Place an open Hoggie bun on top and using a flat spatula flip it over on to a plate. Add more beef if needed and repeat the cheese and flipping process for the second Bistek Cheesesteak sandwich.
