There is this chain of boba shops called Happy Lemon. They seem to be everywhere. Anyway they have a lemon yakult slushy drink that is so good.

The drink is bitter, sour and sweet at the same time.

I wanted to make something similar but using calamansi. Turns out it is also a good combo. Let's make it!

    Ingredients

This Calamansi Yakult Slushie has no added sugar. Just sparkling water with a hit of yakult. If you need it sweet add the sweetener of your choice. Here are the ingredients that I used.

Sparkling Calamansi Water - Sanzo is my most favorite sparkling water as they don't add sugar. Just juice and water that is it.

Yakult - I used one bottle, but you can double up if you want and also freeze it to use as the ice cubes in the drink.

Crushed Ice - The more ice you use the more slushy it will be. Use between 1 to 2 cups.

can of calamansi sparkling water, glass of crushed ice and small bottle of yakult.

How To Make Calamansi Yakult Slushie

All you need to make this slushy is a blender. Pour in the calamansi sparkling water, bottle of yakult and the ice. Blend until everything is combined and super icy.

There will be a bit of foam on top and that is from mixing something bubbly and creamy. You can skim it off before serving if you wish.

To serve the Calamansi Yakult Slushie, pour in a chilled glass and drink right away. Now you have a Filipino version of this yummy slushy.
