I don't know about your part of the world, but in my part of the Bay Area we have had a few 100 degree days this summer. I have the perfect recipe for a Ginger Mint Melon Mango Sorbet to help cool you down in this heat. All you need is some frozen fruit and a blender, no ice cream machine required!
Ingredients
- ½ a cantaloupe that has been cut into cubes and frozen
- 1 Cup frozen mango chunks
- 1 Frozen banana
- Juice and rind of one lime
- Handful of mint
- A half inch of fresh grated ginger
- ¼ cup coconut water
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients in a food processor or high powered blender until smooth (about 2-3 minutes depending on the strength of your machine.) It can be served right away or stored in the freezer for up to a week. So easy!!

This looks so good! What an amazing flavor combination. I've been meaning to try homemade ice creams like this. I might just have to give this one a try this month! 🙂
