This CBD Infused Salad with Roasted Pears and Walnuts will make everyone at the dinner super chill.  It’s also a pretty darn good tasting salad. 

What is CBD?

CBD Infused… it’s very trendy right now.  What is it exactly?  I am not an expert so I am not the best person to explain.  You can head on over to my friends at goop to get all the scoop.  How did I get into it?

Well I was gifted a few bottles of it from Pot d’Huile.  Such a great name right?  They asked if I wanted to try some and I said sure.  So far I have had it over ice cream, in chocolate truffle balls and in some salads.

Every one reacts to CBD oil differently and with my first time I did feel kinda floaty.  After a few more uses the effects are less obvious and now I just feel really relaxed after eating it.

CBD Infused Salad with Roasted Pears and Walnuts

The best way to slowly incorporate this oil into your routine is to add it into salad dressing a little at a time.  This salad has the best fall flavors with roasted pears and walnuts.

It’s served over a bed of farmers market fresh lettuce with some fresh mint for a hint of freshness.

With salad dressings I have been a bit more free formed with them lately.  I just drizzled this salad with some balsamic vinegar, date syrup and regular olive oil.

Just before serving I just hit it with a little hint of Pot d’Huile.  If you are going to serve this with some CBD infused oil I would highly suggest serving it on the side so that your guests have a choice in adding it or not.

Ingredients

Salad

  • 4 Mini Bartlet Pears
  • 1/2 Cup Walnuts
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 4 Cups Lettuce
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Mint
  • 1/2 Cup Vegan Cheese

Free Form Salad Dressing

  • Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Date Syrup
  • Salt and Pepper
  • CBD Infused Olive Oil

Instructions

Roast the Pears and Walnuts

  1. Wash and Cut the pears into quarters.  Place on a baking sheet with the walnuts and season with the onion powder, garlic powder and salt and pepper.  Drizzle with the olive oil.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Set Aside.

Make the Salad

  1. Place the lettuce on a platter and arrange the pears over the lettuce.  Scatter the walnuts and mint all over.  Dot with the vegan cheese.

Free Form Salad Dressing

  1. Drizzle over regular olive oil, balsamic vinegar and date syrup over the salad.  Season with salt and pepper and serve some CBD Infused Olive oil on the side.
