This Rosewater Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer is probably the prettiest drink I’ve made and it’s perfect to drink right now in California. Today it’s 78 Degrees in my part of the Bay Area. Spring has come early just in time for Valentines / Galentines Day!
You can keep it a mocktail and serve little cups of it at a children’s valentines party or give it a little spunk with a shot of vodka or lemon liqueur with your gals.
I used Big Island Organics Island Lemonade as the base of this Rosewater Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer. It’s made just made with filtered water, lemon juice and sweetened slightly with agave.
The strawberry lemonade is colored naturally with some hibiscus tea and garnished with dried rose buds, lemon slices, mint and strawberry hearts.
A pretty and also refreshing drink made from strawberries, lemons with a touch of rosewater.
Bloom the hibiscus tea and half the rose buds in a small cup with the hot water. Steep for 3 minutes.
Cut 4 strawberries in half and cut out hearts with the cutter from each side of the strawberry. Thread 2 hearts in each toothpick and top with a mint sprig.
In a pitcher add in the rest of the strawberries and some mint and use the muddler to crush the strawberries and mint together. Pour in the lemonade, sparkling water and rosewater.
Take out your four glasses and equally divide the hibiscus and rose tea in each glass. Top with lots of ice and pour the spritzer in each glass. Garnish with lemon slices, the leftover rosebuds, strawberry hearts and mint sprigs.
