This Summer Picnic post is sponsored by Jord watches, but all opinions are my own.

Ever since I moved to California I have fallen in love with the outdoors.  When my husband and I were dating we would take long hikes in Point Reyes and carry a bag pack of food to eat on the grass and look out into the horizons of the California Coast.

Those hikes and picnics were what I thought of when I put on my Jord watch.  The wood reminded me of looking up at the big tall trees in Yosemite, while eating a great meal to get ready for the next leg of our hike.

The formula to an awesome picnic

I am proud to admit I can throw down a damn good picnic, but we haven’t been on a long hike recently to enjoy a picnic in the woods.  Instead we have been having picnics at the park with my daughter or even at home.  We recently had one, well I had one while she was sleeping…shh she doesn’t know I do fun things while she is napping.

The Signature Drink

Even if you are just having a small 2 person picnic you can still make it special by creating a refreshing drink like this herbal tea sangria.

  1. Do you steep the tea in hot water over night? Or just room temperature water? Have you ever added alcohol to the tea sangria? This sounds like a perfect beach drink too

    1. I steep the tea in cold water and leave it in the fridge. and no I haven’t tried adding alcohol, but you can replace the tea with wine instead!
