    Ube Milk Recipe

    This Ube Milk Recipe is made with coconut evaporated milk and Ube Cookie butter. It makes for a good base for any ube flavored drinks.

    Ube Milk

    This Ube Milk is so versatile and because you can use it as a base for lattes, hot chocolate, smoothies, boba tea drinks, champorado, Biko and so much more.

    Ingredients

    Coconut Evaporated Milk: This is coconut milk that has been cooked down slightly with sugar. It tends to lean towards a more concentrated coconut milk flavor. It also compliments the Ube better than regular milk.

    Ube Cookie Butter: Is a recipe that keeps on giving. It will give your Milk as slight Ube cookie taste which is never a bad thing! Use this Ube Cookie Butter Recipe when making this milk.

    2 Ways to Make Ube Milk

    Version 1: Use a blender. All you need to do here is add the whole can of coconut evaporated milk and ¼ cup of Ube Cookie Butter. Then blend until smooth. This is a good way to make it if you are going to be making any cold drinks with it right away.

    Version 2: Stove Top. Here you will put the coconut evaporated milk and ¼ cup of Ube Cookie Butter in a sauce pan. Turn the heat to medium and whisk until the cookie butter has melted into the milk. This version is great when you are making a warm drink like a latte or hot chocolate.

    How to Store Ube Milk

    Once you have prepared the Ube Milk you can pour it into a clean glass jar. This recipe makes 2 cups or about 16 oz of milk. Cover the jar and store in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.

    Questions You May Have

    Where can I buy Coconut Evaporated Milk

    In the US you can find them in Sprouts or Wholefoods.

    Can I replace Coconut Evaporated Milk with Regular Evaporated Milk?

    Yes you can. It just won't have a coconut taste complementing the Ube.

    Can I just use any milk I want?

    Yes for sure. You can even use regular coconut milk. That would be my recommendation if you don't want to go out and find Coconut Evaporated Milk.

    Where can I find Ube Cookie Butter?

    Can I buy Ube Cookie Butter instead?

    Can I use Ube Halaya instead of Cookie Butter?

    Yes for sure. Use ¼ Cup Ube Halaya plus ¼ teaspoon Ube Extract.

    • 1 Can Coconut Evaporated Milk (360ml)
    • ¼ Cup Ube Cookie Butter

    Instructions

    • Make with a blender: All you need to do here is add the whole can of coconut evaporated milk and ¼ cup of Ube Cookie Butter. Then blend until smooth. Pour into a clean 16 oz jar with cap and store in the refrigerator until needed.
    • Make on the stove top: Here you will put the coconut evaporated milk and ¼ cup of Ube Cookie Butter in a sauce pan. Turn the heat to medium and whisk until the cookie butter has melted into the milk.  Use for hot lattes and hot chocolate. Store any left overs in a clean jar with cap and store in the refrigerator until needed.

    Will keep in the refrigerator for 7 days.
