Unicorn. I was never into them until I joined an online community called Fitgirls Guide (more on that later). Honesty I thought it was childish and too frufru for me. Then over time I understood the meaning of being a unicorn. To me it means being a special unique individual doing your own thing and ignoring the noise around you. It dawned on me that – hey I’m a unicorn. I never did what everyone else was doing. I liked what I liked and stuck with it no matter what.
Now every time I see a unicorn product – shirt, mug, figurine, pin I get bat shit crazy and buy it. Some I keep for me and some I send to my fit sisters.
Last week I was online and was looking for some natural sprinkles that I didn’t have to make and I came across Ticings. They sell sprinkles made from dark and white chocolate that are colored with plants (think cherry for pink and turmeric for yellow). I was scrolling through their shop and guess what… they had unicorn sprinkles. I bought them and other sprinkle combinations. When I got them I had a taste and man tastes exactly like chocolate. (Note they are not vegan as the base is milk powder.)

They are not the typical sprinkles that will hold their shape when baked into batter so they are not to be used for funfetti recipes. These sprinkles will melt into the batter. Just use them as toppings or to decorate cookies and cakes. With that in mind I wanted to make bliss balls and use these sprinkles as the coating. They turned out so good. Don’t they look so cute with the tiny gold balls mixed in?
Save
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup pea protein
- 1/4 cup dried strawberries
- 2 tbs MCT oil or you can also use melted coconut oil
- 1/4 tsp vanilla paste
- 3 pitted dates
- 2 tbs water
- 1/2 cup Ticings unicorn sprinkles
Blend all in food processor and then use a mini scooper to help you shape into balls. I made 18 balls. Roll in unicorn sprinkles.
Store in refrigerator for a week. Use the hashtag #unicornblissballs to let me know if you made it. Happy rolling… and live your life like a damn unicorn. This is not a sponsored post. I just happen to love them and had to share!
