These Adobo Sliders are perfect to serve during the Superbowl. The patties are flavored with adobo sauce and garnished with some homemade pickled vegetables.
Adobo Sliders
We had these Adobo Sliders as part of our last meal of 2018. It's made with homemade pandesal (Filipino Milk Bread) and the patties are flavored with garlicky adobo sauce. We also topped them off with atchara (pickled vegetables) and fresh cilantro.
It thought it would be perfect to serve during the Superbowl. They are mini and not so messy. You can also just leave out all the components and have your guests build their own Adobo Sliders.
Pandesal
For the pandesal I used a recipe from The Little Epicurean. I am the worst at baking bread and these turned out so soft and fluffy I just had to share it with the world. You can also use some mini burger buns or hawaiian soft rolls. However I highly recommend making your own pandesal. You will feel so proud of yourself.
Atchara
For the atchara, you can use the recipe that I used in my Vegan Burger with Longanisa Mayo. We like putting slices of garlic in it for that extra kick.
Adobo Slider Patties
For the patties, we mixed in the Filipino Adobo trifecta of coconut aminos (I use this instead of soy sauce), apple cider vinegar and garlic. Then we formed mini patties and fried them in a little bit of olive oil.
Now you just lay it all out for the masses and they can build and eat whenever they please. It also gives those people who are only there for the food something to do during game time or at least until half time.
Ingredients
For the Pandesal use The Little Epicurean's Recipe. If you don't want to make your own bread you can just buy a dozen mini burger buns or hawaiian rolls
