    Filipino Guyabano Shake

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

All you need to make this Filipino Guyabano Shake is guyabano pulp, water and ice. Just blend and it's ready to drink!

Filipino Guyabano Shake in a glass.

Filipino shakes are the best! Do you know why?? It's because they are so pure and it's just the one fruit mixed with ice and water. Then it's blended super high and it's almost like you are drinking up a slushy.

This shake we are going to make today is made with Guyabano pulp. It has such a unique and refreshing flavor. It's also known as soursop. It's green on the outside and looks a bit bumpy. When it's ripe the outside skin get's soft and you can break it open with your hands. I love eating fresh Guyabano in the Philippines especially if it's been in the refrigerator.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it has so many seeds. For those of you that do eat it fresh you know that feeling of triumph when you get a pocket of Guyabano with no seeds. It's bliss.

So for those of you that love the flavor, but not the labour (ha!) this shake is for you.

    Ingredients

This is what you will need to make your Filipino Guyabano Shake.

Guyabano Puree - To make it super easy we will be using Guyabano puree. This one that I used already has sugar included so I am not adding anymore. However if you need it more sweet please add to your liking.

Water - We use this just to help blend. What would make this shake even more special is if you used Guyabano juice. You get extra flavor!

Ice - For that slushy consistency. Use about ½ a cup of ice.

Packet of Guyabano puree and glass of ice water.

How To Make Filipino Guyabano Shake

Guyabano puree and water and ice in a blender.

Place the Guyabano puree, ½ cup water and ½ cup of ice in a blender.

    Just blended Guyabano puree.

Then blend until nice and smooth.

Just blended Filipino Guyabano Shake and poured into a glass.

Pour into a 16oz glass to serve and drink right away.

    What to do with leftovers?

I mean you shouldn't have any leftovers but you can freeze any extra in an ice cube tray and then make a Guyabanao Margarita out if it.
