This Filipino Langka Shake or Jackfruit Shake is made with only 4 simple ingredients. All you need to do is blend and drink!

Filipino Langka Shake in a glass.

Have you ever heard of a Filipino Shake? It's not like the shakes you get a Jamba Juice. This Filipino Shakes are more pure, using just the one fruit blended with water and ice. It's really more of a natural slushy. These shakes are so good to have when it's a super super hot day.

If you ever go to the Philippines and look at the drink menu there are a variety of shakes to choose from. I decided to make a shake that I don't see on the menu and that is a Filipino Langka Shake. If you love the unique flavor of Langka then you must make this.

    Ingredients

As I said, all you need are 4 ingredients and here they are.

Langka or Jackfruit - You must use super super ripe langka and you will need 6 whole pods. You can buy either frozen or fresh just as long as it's ripe. I would suggest freezing it first so that you really get that slushy texture.

Water - Start with ¾ cup of water and add just a bit more if the Langka Shake is getting to thick to blend.

Ice - The key to a really good Filipino Shake is to use lots of crushed ice. You will need ½ cup of crushed ice.

Maple Syrup - You can use any sweetener you like. Honey, date syrup or even just regular sugar.

Plate of frozen langka, glass of water, glass of ice and bottle of maple syrup.

    Serve The Langka Shake

To serve pour in a 16 oz glass.

How To Serve and Store Langka Shake

It's best to drink the shake right after it is made. However if you do have any leftovers I would pour it into an ice cube tray. Then you can blend it again when you want to finish it.
