Here are my favorite Filipino drinks from fresh juices, to thick shakes with some cocktails thrown in. So many options for you to find your own favorite!
Classic Filipino Drinks
These are either the drinks of your childhood and what you miss drinking when out of the country.
Calamansi Juice
Of course we are going to start with a classic Filipino juice made with fresh squeezed calamansi. It's super refreshing on hot humid days, especially with lots of ice!
Iced Salabat
Normally Salabat is served warm, but this time we added some ice because why not? It's super gingery and goes well with everything.
Sago At Gulaman
My daughter is obsessed with this Filipino drink because of two things. One it has jelly and two it just tastes like sugar. What is not to love? This version is on the healthy side.
Melon Sa Malamig
Gosh, talk about a drink of my childhood. I remember the ones I used to have in the Philippines where the juice was so thick because so much sugar was added into the water. Haha. So good though. This version has less sugar, but still just as good.
Mango Shake
I don't know, this could be the ultimate Filipino Drink perhaps? It's always on the menu in every Filipino restaurant made with fresh super sweet mangos and lots of ice.
Avocado Shake
Okay, okay so many classics Avocado Shake is another drink staple in the Philippines is the Avocado Shake, it's very creamy and thick but made with very minimal ingredients.
Ube Drinks
Ube is totally having a moment and these drinks will satisfy those cravings.
Ube Milk
Ube Milk has become super popular on Pinterest. I can see why, it is super versatile and can be used as the base of many other Filipino drinks.
Ube Milkshake
There are many recipes out there but this is the ultimate Filipino one! No chocolate or sprinkles here! Just lots of Ube Cookie butter and Ube polvoron and Ube Ice cream!
Ube Hot Chocolate
It's super decadent and you just need little sips to end a nice dinner with.
Ube Eggnog Spiked Cocktail
Ah, a classic Christmas drink with a Filipino twist! Just add some Filipino Rum to your Ube and Eggnog mixture and you have the ultimate party starter!
Reimagined Filipino Drinks
These drinks are not the norm, but in a really good way. They are inventive and filled with Filipino ingredients and flavors.
Sapin Sapin Smoothie
Named after the layered kakanin called Sapin Sapin. It has a bottom layer of langka jam, with swirls of coconut whip and then an Ube flavored shake is poured in.
Choc Nut Shake
Okay, this is for the Choc Nut fanatics! It has a choc nut spread swirl and the shake has multiple pieces of Choc Nut blended in, plus it's also toped sprinkles of Choc Nut. I mean!!!
Malunggay Iced Latte
For those that want drinks with no caffeine, this is one of them. The recipe is made with ice, but you can make a hot version as well.
Cold Brew Pandan Coffee
Cold brew with the addition of Pandan infused coffee is oh so refreshing.
Filipino Inspired Cocktails
This last section are my list of favorite Filipino Drinks with alcohol in them.
Mangorind Dark and Stormy
The traditional Dark and Stormy is made Filipino with the addition of mango juice and tamarind. It's named after the dried candy made with dried pulps of mango and tamarind. Both sweet and salty at the same time.
Guyabano Margarita Slushie
Guyabano has this taste that is so unique and cannot describe. I love eating the fruit fresh super cold, so this Margarita is blended to drink like a slushy. Be careful though! It's very easy to drink.
Buko Pandan Shooters
Made with Lambanog (a Filipino coconut based spirit), is the ultimate party starter. It's very potent!
Boozy Filipino Hot Chocolate
For those that prefer to have a nightcap instead of a dessert, well this is two in one! It's nice and thick and warm. Like a hug in a Filipino Drink!
