    Fruit Cocktail Taho Recipe

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This Fruit Cocktail Taho is made with instant boba, sweet tofu and of course the Filipino favorite, canned fruit cocktail.

Fruit Cocktail Taho in a glass cup on a wooden coaster.

Honestly I have a love hate relationship with Fruit Cocktail. I absolutely detested the dessert made with whipped cream and fruit cocktail mixed with some coconut strips especially if it was frozen. Gosh so hard to eat! Why is it all soggy and super hard at the same time.

To me fruit cocktail is great with some super cold jelly. Something so sweet needs something so simple. No dairy necessary.

At my local 99 Ranch I started noticing Tofu desserts. It works so well when you want to do a quick and dirty version of a Taho and I thought one day walking through the grocery store you know Fruit Cocktail would work really well in a Taho. It has in built syrup and fruit!

    Make a Strawberry Version

I also have a recipe that uses fresh strawberries, strawberry jam and strawberry boba!

    Make It

    Ingredients

Here is what you will need to make Fruit Cocktail Taho. It's a simple 4 ingredient list.

Dessert Tofu - Very important to go to the milk section where they keep the dessert tofu. It's separate from the savory tofu. Dessert tofu is more silky and soft and works well in a Taho. There are different flavors so you can pick what you like. However I think almond works really well in this recipe.

Instant Boba - Always find instant boba that has come from Taiwan. They invented it and really make the best. Bobabam is my go to brand. Pick any fruity flavor you like.

Fruit Cocktail - Find the smallest can you can unless you like the left overs. It's actually great in yogurt. Haha.

Soy Milk - This is totally optional if you don't want to use that much fruit cocktail syrup. You can drain the fruit cocktail and pour in the soy milk instead. Yay added protein.

How To Make Fruit Cocktail Taho

Tofu on a plate, fruit cocktail in a bowl, boba in a cup and soy milk in a cup.

First heat up the instant boba according to to the package directions. Then transfer the tofu, fruit cocktail and soy milk into serving bowls/cups.

Repeat the layering until you have filled your cup.
