    Mont Blanc Parfait

    Easy Decadent Mont Blanc Parfait

I've got an easy decadent Mont Blanc Parfait that you can make in a flash.  Yet it's so impressive and delish that you can't even tell that all the ready made ingredients.  Yes it's time to give yourself some grace, because sometimes you just don't have the time to make everything from scratch.  It's totally okay to do that.

I first came across Mont Blanc while living in Japan.  It's one of the desserts I geek out on when I see it in a pastry shop because it's such a part of my childhood.  There are many variations of Mont Blanc, but the classic is made with chestnut paste.  You can buy the paste at specialty shops or in a pinch Amazon because #amazonprimesaveslives.  I will link a few options in my Amazon shop and below in this post as well.

    Mont Blanc Parfait

    Anatomy of a Parfait

There are 5 parts to this Mont Blanc Parfait.

The cookie layer.  You can use my Christmas Tea Cookie recipe or your favorite vanilla/cinnamon shortbread cookie.

The jam layer.  I used my red wine caramel sauce as my jam, but you can use your favorite chia jam or store bought jam instead.

    Mont Blanc Parfait

The cream layer.  I used so delicious coco whip and always have it in the fridge if I don't have time or the ingredients to make my own coco whip.

The chestnut layer.  This oh so decadent layer is made with chestnut paste and mascarpone.

The hidden secret.  I also hid a candied chestnut in the middle of the parfait and used it as a topping along with some gold flakes.

Now go ahead and spend 10 minutes putting this dessert together and then enjoy the time with your family and friends.

    Have a Happy Holiday Season!

I would love to make this for the holiday this year, but you only state one container of mascarpone. There are different sizes so if you could be a bit more specific?

Hi Gwen, great catch! It's the 8oz size. I will amend the recipe with the appropriate size to use. Thank you. Best, Rezel
