    Strawberry Taho

    Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This Strawberry Taho is less on the saucy side and more on the fresh strawberry side. It's sweetened with a few spoons of strawberry jam.

Strawberry Taho in a glass on a wooden coaster.

I had a craving for this the other day and happen to have everything I needed for this super simple snack. Packed with fresh strawberries and super silky soft tofu makes for a quick dish to put together.

Strawberry Taho is famous in Baguio where strawberries are abundant. Who knew right? I believe the it was brought to the Philippines via the Galleon trade, but didn't really take off until the Americans colonized the islands.

There used to be a US Army base there called Camp John Hay, which was mainly used for recreation purposes by the US Military. I remember going there a few times. The American's loved strawberries and was excited it could grow in that cool climate in the mountains.

It's now transformed into a holiday destinations for Filipinos wanting a break for the humidity.

    Ingredients

Strawberries - These can be hit or miss when it's not summer time. Use as many as you wish. I used about 4 large strawberries and chopped them up.

Super Soft Tofu - You can only get these at Asian grocery stores. I don't know why. Please make sure you use super soft silky tofu so that it has the texture of pudding, not super hard tofu. It makes a difference when you are eating it sweet like in this Strawberry Taho.

Strawberry Boba - What a day to be alive you can now get ready made strawberry boba at your local grocery store. Buy the ones from Taiwan. They are the best. If they don't sell strawberry boba just get any boba flavor and add your most favorite strawberry jam.

Silken tofu, fresh strawberries and frozen strawberry boba.

    How to Make Strawberry Taho

    It's really super easy.

    Strawberry boba in a cup.

    Adding strawberries.

    Top with fresh diced strawberries.

    Layering Strawberry Taho.

Keep layering the strawberries and tofu until you get to the top of the glass and add the remaining strawberry boba on the top.

    Soy milk.

If you want a little strawberry milk at the end you can add some soy milk as well.

    Really that is it!

    How To Serve Strawberry Taho

You can have it just layered.

    Strawberry Taho

Or with a drizzle of soy milk.

    Strawberry Taho with soy milk.

    It's great both ways!
