Ube Halo Halo in a champagne coupe

I love all kinds of Halo Halo. This Ube Halo Halo takes the prize for being the most maarte. There is a hidden scoop of Ube ice cream under frozen shaved coconut water.

Best served after a refined dinner to end the meal on a chic note.

    Ingredients for Ube Halo Halo

ube ice cream, can of coconut milk, jar of macapuno, jar of ube halaya, frozen coconut water.

Ube Halaya - You can make your own using my Ube Halaya recipe or buy a jar.

Ube Ice Cream - Home made is great if you have it already, or if you want to - you can make it yourself. Otherwise buy the best brand out there. Magnolia Ube Ice cream.

Frozen Coconut Water - I loved using it in the Fruit Salad version, so we are bringing it back. Using coconut water should be the default shave ice going forward.

Coconut Milk - We are going to pour this all over the frozen coconut water to make it nice and milky.

Macapuno Strings - These sweet coconut strings will be our topping and key chewy ingredient.

Which Shave Ice Maker Do You Recommend?

I've used this Hawaiian Shave Ice machine for close to 10 years already. Still working fine. It also comes with 2 molds, but you can also use cubed ice in it. It works perfectly fine either way.

    I highly recommend it!

    Time to Mix it

Now the fun begins. You can be super dainty with your Ube Halo Halo taking small bites until you get to the Ube ice cream core.

Or fully mix everything so that it gets nice and purple.
