Margarita Week
Everyone! It’s Margarita Week. Whoop Whopp. That means until the 5th of May your Pinterest and Instagram Feeds have probably been inundated with all kinds of Margarita recipes. It’s now my turn to add to the list. I give you Pineapple Kalamansi Margarita.

Pineapple Kalamansi Margarita
Honestly I didn’t know if I was going to be able to make it as there has been a few things going on the past few weeks. However I was inspired by my friends at Tanduay. They came over on Sunday to create some cocktails for my 1 year blog anniversary party (more on that in a future post). They left some Pineapple Kalamansi Rum punch so I froze them into ice cubes. I didn’t know what to make and then I remembered today that I had these ice cubes.
So I carried on with the flavor profile and added some tequila, orange liquor and loosened it up with some coconut water.

Margarita Pre-Mix
There are zero drinkers in my household so I made a little bottle of a “pre-mix” of this Pineapple Kalamansi Margarita to keep in the fridge for a few days to sip on. I started with 50ml of Tequila and about 30ml of orange liqueur. Then I added 1 and a half cups of pineapple juice, 3 tablespoons of kalamansi juice and 1/2 cup of coconut water.

To serve rim a cold 8oz glass with a wedge of lemon and then dipped it in some orange salt then place some of the Pineapple Kalamansi with Tanduay ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and pour in some of the Pineapple Kalamansi Margarita pre-mix in and shake it for a few seconds to cool the cocktail. Pour in your glass and garnish with some flowers and a pineapple leaf. Enjoy and pretend you are on a white sand beach in the Philippines.

This post is not sponsored by Tanduay, however they did provide the product to help make this cocktail.
