I have some Filipino Inspired Superbowl Food for you to make during the big game. It's almost the Super Bowl, that means it is time to plan the most important part - the food!
I can honestly say I am a very reluctant Football fan. My husband is a major (I mean major) NY Jets fan and I absorb the season through osmosis. Meaning against my will. He is from New Jersey, hence being a Jets fan. It’s very soul crushing really to be a fan of a team that never wins.
ANYWAY! I digress. Here are some recipes you can make for the game if you do watch it. Either for the football or just for the half-time show or maybe just for the commercials.
Adobo Sliders
This is the most perfect Filipino Inspired Superbowl Food if I do say so myself. The bread is pandesal. The patty is flavored with adobo and the pickles are atchara. Perfection.
Filipino Inspired Taco Bar
Feeling a bit ambitious? Lay out a Filipino Inspired Taco Bar. This would be for your guests that are more into the food. So it would be something that you can have in the kitchen for non-football fans to enjoy.
Malunggay Artichoke Dip
A Filipino Vegan spin on the classic spinach artichoke dip.
Sisig Nachos
I developed this for Sarap Now and you can find the recipe on their site.
Escabeche Fish Sliders
For the Pescatarians!
Longganisa Sausage Roll
Sausage rolls are always a good idea!
Labanos Fries
Fries but made with radish! Trust me know one will even notice they are not potatoes.
Filipino Inspired Superbowl Food - Sweets
Ensenada Cheese Puffs
Something a little easier than making bread. The cheese puffs are smothered in buttercream and topped with grated cheese. You get both sweet and savory here.
CBD Brownies
Up for a little fun? Add a bit of CBD into your brownies to help relax the tense move. Just remember to keep these away from kids!
Turon Cookies
A little bit of America and a little bit of the Philippines in this amazing Levain style cookie.
Langka Butter Mochi
The perfect handheld dessert that won't make a mess.
Filipino Inspired Superbowl Food - Drinks
Here are some sodas and beers and mixers that you can serve during the big game. All of them are Filipino owned.
